Honey Citrus Chicken Sandwiches Recipe Sandwiches

Lemon, Orange juice, honey and mild seasonings enhance the flavor of chicken breasts, which are marinated prior to grilling. When the chicken hits the grill, this easy sandwich recipe can be ready to eat in under 15 minutes. Yummy!

Grill Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 6 slices Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 kaiser rolls, split
  • 6 thin tomato slices
  • 6 red onion slices
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Shredded lettuce



  • Directions:

    • Flatten chicken breast evenly to 1/4-inch. thickness.
    • Keep aside.
    • Place lemon juice, orange juice, mustard, honey, poultry seasoning and cayenne pepper in a large resealable plastic bag.
    • Put chicken breasts into the bag.
    • Seal bag and shake to coat evenly.
    • Place in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
    • Drain and discard marinade.
    • Grill, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until chicken is tender and all juices run clear.
    • Place cheese slice on each chicken breast.
    • Grill 1 minutes longer or until cheese begins to melt.
    • Place chicken on rolls.
    • Top each roll with tomato, onion and lettuce.
    • Honey-Citrus Chicken Sandwiches are ready now.
    • Serve with Crispy Potato Wedges.
